steam weekend sales

i've decided only to buy games from the steam weekend sales.

it's allways 75% of the games, and there good games too.

TF2/Race Driver GRID/Mount & Blade/Company of Heroes/All Indie Games/Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising have all recently been on sale for 75% off, all great games.

i've pirated games in the past and the only reason behind doing that was because of the games cost. games costing around £40-50. it's a lot of money to spend on a video game. but with the weekend sales on steam, there's no reason to pirate games anymore. it's just great games at great value.

Would anyone be intrested in going through operation flashpoint 2; dragon rising in co-op ?

i've just noticed that the game, has 75% off.

if i be honest, it's not something i'd consider buying but with the price tag, and considering how recent and special this game is. i'm going to get it first thing tomorrow morning.

but what would make it better is to play with through co-op with one of you.

When talking about maintaining computers the programs used that come to mind are things anti-viruses and other different updates for a system, These can be routine and non-routine checks and updates. When talking about routined checks it describs aprogram that has a set time or date to do maintenance whether it be every day,week or month the routine will stay the same. Non-routine is when the maionteance is performed manually and does not have a set time for update.Routined mainteance on a computer is very important for the health of a computer as you could forget to an update and it would do it anyway as it is routine. If using an anti-virus routinely it can delete anything that is slowing or hurting your system, non-routine is something like a disk defragmentation being done every few months by yourself, this is because a disk degrag isnt necessary say for example every week but needs to be done every once in a while non routine. If you have a good planned schedule for routine and non-routine maintaince on a system the computer's health should be very good and it is recommended.

When using a system like that of SWC there is anyways a need for policies and procuredures that maintain computer system activities in the organisation. These policies are used to protect the physical safety of the computers aswell as the safety from viruses and other malicious content on the system. A procedure like "eating or drinking in workshops, IT Rooms, the College Library, or other unauthorised areas " is prohibited, and because it is outlined in these policies and procedures, the maintaince of the computer is physically ensured. "Breach of the College’s ICT Acceptable Use Policy e.g. abusive or offensive emails including using someone else’s e-mail. Using College computer resources to download material of a pornographic nature from the internet, or in any other way to transmit or retrieve material of this kind" this procedure ensures that anyone on the system knows that this type of activity is not accepted.

As Promised, we have now got our own TF2 server up and running. We are still modifying it to our needs but it's online and you can join it right now.

The map rotation are as follows:

2.Dustbowl

4.Well
5.Gravel Pit
6.cp_badlands
7.cp_follower
If you have any suggestions for the server, we'd like to hear them.

You can play this game for free this weekend.

I love it when they let you play the games for free for the weekends. I can usually complete whole games in a weekend if i've no concentrate on it.

You need windows vista or windows 7 to play with dirextx 10 so i expect that the requirements for running this game are going to be quite high.

i think i'll be able to run it. I'm downloading it now so will soon find out.

If anyone decides to give it ago, let me know. we could try the online gameplay together.

Map rotation

We need to discuss what rotation we want on our server.

As Hypnotit and myself have already decided a 16 man server would be the best for now (same size as servers on PS3).

I was thinking the map rotation could be the original maps:
- 2Fort
- Dustbowl
- Granary
- Well
- Gravel Pit
- Hyrdo < Maybe not!?

Your ideas?

sweet site that lets you set up 6v6 games from the website, I've been having quite a lot of fun with it in the last couple days, a really good way to get better at tf2, playing 6v6 is so different from stuff like 12v12
